Encore Boston Harbor

Encore Boston Harbor is a five-star resort hotel and casino located in Everett, Massachusetts. MIofNE worked with several mechanical and plumbing subcontractors throughout multiple phases of this project.

MIofNE worked with J.C. Higgins on the first phase, which included the fuel system for the HVAC scope of work, as well as the tanks and a portion of the rain harvesting system for the plumbing scope of work.

The first phase of the HVAC scope included the fuel system for the emergency generators. The fuel system is comprised of underground Containment Solutions fuel tanks (two, 10,000 gallons each), Pneumercator tank monitoring system, Red Jacket pumps, Simplex pump master control panel, Simplex filtration system, and pipe accessories.

The first phase of the HVAC scope also included a lube oil collection system that was comprised of above ground Highland storage tanks (one at 300 gallons and one at 600 gallons), Pneumercator tank monitoring system, and pipe accessories.

The first phase of the plumbing scope included an underground Highland oil-sand interceptor (550 gallons) for the collection of drainage from the parking areas. Also included were Highland vortex filters for the rainwater harvesting system and a Highland grease interceptor.

MIofNE worked with J.C. Cannistraro on the second phase of the plumbing systems scope. This included above ground Highland central grease interceptors (10, 3,000 gallons each), underground oil-sand interceptors (four, 550 gallons each), and components for the rainwater harvesting system, including controls, pump, filtration, and ultraviolet disinfection.

MIofNE worked with E.M. Duggan on the third phase of the plumbing systems scope. This included 41 Highland tank point-of-use grease interceptors.

North Station (Podium, Hub on Causeway Office, citizenM Hotel, Residential)

North Station is a multiphase, multibuilding, mixed-use complex located on Causeway Street in Boston, Massachusetts. MIofNE supported Cosentini, the consulting engineer, on the design of this project. Furthermore, we worked with several mechanical subcontractors throughout multiple phases of this project.

MIofNE worked with Hamel & McAlister on the podium phase of the HVAC scope fuel systems for the emergency generators. This included above ground Highland fuel tanks (one at 2,500 gallons, one at 1,300 gallons, one at 1,000 gallons, and one at 660 gallons), Pneumercator tank monitoring system, Hayes pumps, and pipe accessories. MIofNE also furnished an AmeriWater condenser water sand filter for this phase.

MIofNE worked with Limbach on the residences phase of the HVAC scope fuel system for the emergency generator. This included a Pneumercator tank monitoring system, Hayes pumps, and pipe accessories. We also furnished an AmeriWater condenser water sand filter for this phase.

MIofNE worked with J.C. Cannistraro on the citizenM Hotel phase of the HVAC scope fuel system for the emergency generator. This included a Pneumercator tank monitoring system, Hayes pumps, and pipe accessories. We also furnished an AmeriWater condenser water sand filter for this phase.

Harvard University Science & Engineering Complex (SEC)

Harvard SEC is a leading-edge institution of engineering and foundational science located in Allston, Massachusetts. MIofNE worked with two different subcontractors on this project.

MIofNE worked with J.C. Cannistraro on the HVAC scope of work. This included furnishing an above ground Highland Tank fuel tank (5,000 gallons).

MIofNE worked with American Plumbing and Heating on the Plumbing and Fire Protection scopes of work. This included above ground Highland rainwater storage tanks (three @ 16,000 gallons each, two @ 15,000 gallons each & one @ 2,000 gallons) and components for the rainwater harvesting system including controls, pumps, day tanks, filtration, dye injectors, and ultra-violet disinfection.

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center – New Inpatient Building (BIDMC NIB)

BIDMC NIB is a leading-edge health care facility for patient care, innovation, and learning located in Boston, Massachusetts. MIofNE supported BR+A, the consulting engineer, on the design of this project. Furthermore, MIofNE worked with two different subcontractors on this project.

MIofNE worked with TG Gallagher on the HVAC scope fuel system for the emergency generators. The fuel system is comprised of above ground Highland fuel tanks (three at 15,000 gallons each), OMNTEC tank monitoring system, Hayes submersible waterproof pumps, Fuel Technologies International filtration system, Pryco day tanks, and pipe accessories.

We worked with J.C. Higgins on the plumbing scope. We furnished a Highland elevator oil interceptor.

Ragon Institute

Ragon Institute is a research facility dedicated to better understanding infectious disease and the human immune system. It is a collaboration between Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard University, and Massachusetts Institute of Technology. MIofNE supported ARUP, the consulting engineer, on the design of this project.
